Our newly renovated lakeside Shepherd’s Hut will be available from mid-September.
Nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Worcestershire–Herefordshire border, our beautifully handcrafted Shepherd’s Hut offers the perfect countryside escape for two.
Now sitting right beside the Wild Wood lake, the Hut has been transformed into a truly special private retreat, complete with its own wellness area, private lakeside deck and designated swimming area in the lake.
Thoughtfully designed to combine rustic charm with modern comfort, it is somewhere to slow down, switch off and reconnect with nature.
Wake to birdsong and enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the water. Spend your day exploring the Malvern Hills, relaxing in your hot tub, reading on a sun lounger or taking a dip straight from your own lakeside deck. As evening falls, light the fire, cook outside and settle in beneath a blanket of stars.

The newly renovated Shepherd’s Hut has its own dedicated outdoor wellness and lakeside area exclusively for Hut guests.

🗓️ Stay Options
To give our weekend guests the chance to truly settle in and enjoy the full Wild Wood experience, weekend stays are offered as a two-night stay from Friday to Sunday only.
Looking for a shorter escape? One-night stays are available midweek, from Sunday to Thursday, subject to availability.
Whether you choose a spontaneous night away or a full weekend beside the lake, your private Hut, hot tub, lakeside deck and designated swimming area are yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay.

🏡 Good to Know Before You Arrive
Full arrival details and check-in information will be sent before your stay.
Free on-site parking is available just a short walk from the Shepherd’s Hut.
The Hut has a king-size bed and sleeps a maximum of two people. We do welcome one adult and one child; however, the Hut’s hot tub and designated lake swimming area are suitable for guests aged 16+ only unless swimming on designated family swims times.
Wi-Fi is available throughout your stay.
Fresh bedding and towels are provided.
Tea, coffee and basic kitchen essentials are included. Please remember to bring your own milk.
Fresh eggs are available to purchase on site, subject to availability.
The Shepherd’s Hut includes a cosy wood-burning stove, while the outdoor area has a wood-fired chiminea for evenings beside the lake. Kindling and fire packs can be purchased as optional extras.
Please help us preserve the peaceful surroundings by respecting our neighbours and keeping noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Shepherd’s Hut.
The Shepherd’s Hut has its own private hot tub and designated lake swimming area. Our main Wellness Area is a separate facility and is not included as standard with your stay. Private sessions there can be added to your booking, subject to availability.
🐶 Bringing Your Dog
We are delighted to welcome one well-behaved dog to stay with you in the Shepherd’s Hut.
To help us keep the accommodation beautiful and protect the natural environment of the lake, we kindly ask that you follow a few simple rules:
Dogs are not permitted in the lake or any of the water at Wild Wood UK.
Dogs are not permitted in the hot tub or main Wellness Area.
Dogs must not go on the bed, sofa or any furniture at any time.
Please bring your dog’s own bed and blankets.
All dog waste must be picked up and disposed of responsibly.
Dogs must not be left unattended in the Shepherd’s Hut at any time.
Please keep dogs under control around livestock and wildlife.
Please clean and dry muddy paws before returning to the Hut.
Excessive barking should be avoided out of respect for our neighbours and the peaceful countryside setting.
Damage & Additional Cleaning
We understand that accidents can happen.
However, any damage caused by guests or dogs during your stay, or any additional cleaning required beyond our usual turnaround, will be chargeable.
We reserve the right to recover the reasonable cost of repairs, replacement items or additional cleaning where necessary.
📅 Cancellation & Booking Terms
As a small independent family business, cancellations have a significant impact on us. We therefore ask all guests to read our booking terms before making a reservation.
Cancellations made 14 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, are non-refundable.
If we are able to rebook the Shepherd’s Hut for the same dates, we may, at our discretion, offer a refund or transfer your booking to an alternative available date.
Booking amendments are subject to availability and should be requested at least 14 days before arrival.
In the unlikely event that Wild Wood UK needs to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered either a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another available date.
We strongly recommend that guests take out suitable travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.
