🏡 Good to Know Before You Arrive

Full arrival details and check-in information will be sent before your stay.

Free on-site parking is available just a short walk from the Shepherd’s Hut.

The Hut offers a king size bed and is only suitable for up to two people.We do welcome a adult and child but the wellness area is only suitable for 16 years +.

Wi-Fi is available throughout your stay.

Fresh bedding and towels are provided.

Tea, coffee and basic kitchen essentials are included. Please remember to bring your own milk.

Fresh eggs are available to purchase on site, subject to availability.

The Shepherd’s Hut includes a cosy wood-burning stove and an outdoor fire pit. Kindling and fire packs can be purchased as optional extras.

Please help us preserve the peaceful surroundings by respecting our neighbours and keeping noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Shepherd’s Hut.

Please note that the Shepherd’s Hut and our wild swimming lake are separate from our Wellness Area. Your complimentary Wellness Hour gives you exclusive access to our dedicated wellness facilities, including the wood-fired sauna, hot tub and natural swimming pool.

🐶 Bringing Your Dog

We are delighted to welcome one well-behaved dog to stay with you in the Shepherd’s Hut.

To help us keep the accommodation beautiful for every guest, we kindly ask that you follow a few simple rules:

• Dogs must not go on the bed, sofa or any furniture at any time.

• Please bring your dog’s own bed and blankets.

• All dog waste must be picked up and disposed of responsibly.

• Dogs are not permitted in the Wellness Area or in the lake.

• Dogs must not be left unattended in the Shepherd’s Hut at any time.

• Please keep dogs under control around livestock and wildlife.

• Please clean and dry muddy paws before returning to the hut.

• Excessive barking should be avoided out of respect for our neighbours and the peaceful countryside setting.

Damage and Additional Cleaning

We understand that accidents can happen.

However, any damage caused by guests or dogs during your stay, or any additional cleaning required beyond our usual turnaround, will be chargeable.

We reserve the right to recover the reasonable cost of repairs, replacement items or additional cleaning where necessary.

📅 Cancellation and Booking Terms

As a small independent family business, cancellations have a significant impact on us. We therefore ask all guests to read our booking terms before making a reservation.

Cancellations made 14 days or more before your arrival date will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, are non-refundable.

If we are able to rebook the Shepherd’s Hut for the same dates, we may, at our discretion, offer a refund or transfer your booking to an alternative available date.

Booking amendments are subject to availability and should be requested at least 14 days before your arrival.

In the unlikely event that Wild Wood UK needs to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered either a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another available date.

We strongly recommend that guests take out suitable travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.
